The reasons why the Carphone warehouse have
decided to delay their 'free' Talk
talk broadband has been revealed. Quite simple there has been too much
interest! A whopping 340,000 people have signed up for the deal causing
the firm administration problems, as their forecast was only for 170,000 users.
| "Our Free Broadband Forever product has exceeded our most optimistic
expectations, with 340,000 customers now having applied for the service.
Responding to this much greater than anticipated growth, we have answered
many more calls and handled many more sales enquiries than had been
planned, with the result that we have connected more customers in the
first eight weeks than we had planned to do in the first four months." |
| Charles Dunstone CEO Carphone warehouse |
Whether potential customers will wait or decide to more to one of the raft of
'free' broadband and telecom packages remains to be seen.
