Namesco become the latest in a line of ISP acquisitions, as it has announced that it has been bought by
Italian company Register.it S.p.A, more commonly known as Dada.
Dada have various domain and hosting interests mainly in Spain and Italy, and
now seems to want to further it's interests in the UK.
| "Dada's purchase of Namesco is part of Dada Group's
expansion strategy, indicating Dada's priority in strengthening its
presence in the professional online services business. The
investments in the domain and hosting sector which is represented by
the Dada.pro division and already characterized by a solid
international customer base, will allow Dada to further expand its
offer towards more and more advanced services for companies and
professionals online presence in a Web 2.0 perspective" |
| Paolo Barberis Chairman, Dada |
There are no planned changes to operations in the UK, so Namesco
broadband customers shouldn't be unduly worried.
