PlusNet keep on losing emails

If you want to keep hold of your emails, then it's best if you don't use
PlusNet's mail facilities.
The ISP has been rather good at losing customers emails, first
last year
and again this
year they've managed it, and now they seem to have lost another batch of
emails off their sever.
After installing the new junk mail filter on the morning of 23 August,
customer emails began queuing waiting to be processed by the spam filter, but
for some reason engineers decided to "roll back the changes" which mean
the queue was deleted, removing the waiting mails.
"We now believe that approximately 10% of legitimate email that was
de-queued from the new spam appliance to our network was incorrectly
recognised as spam and black-holed,"
"Additionally the same percentage of new legitimate mails received
between approximately 5pm and 11pm last night have also been
deleted. These mails will not be recoverable and we recommend
customers who have not received email that was sent yesterday to ask
the sender to re-send where possible." |

While than maybe an inconvenience to residential customers, to businesses it
could be a major headache.
