Tough love for Plusnet users

Plusnet have emailed over 250 of its ADSL subscribers in the last couple of days, citing their "disproportionate" usage is to result in their migration to a single, separate network segment, together with other heavy downloaders.
Plusnet are naturally keep a bit coy about the migration, and the effect that it will have on the users concerned, although it is quoted "We will, of course, ensure that your Broadband service is still provided well above the design advertised on the website.". Accordingly, Plusnet's forum's are unsurprisingly receiving significant talk about this decision (which you can read here).
Ironically, just last week, Plusnet received top honours from Future UK Internet Awards for Best Consumer ISP.
