Bourne from a proposal from a collaboration between Ruralnet and The Phone Co-op a new community for the 'out of broadband reach' country folk has been established.

Community Broadband UK has received funding from the Department of Trade and Industry, and aims to promote discussion and assistance to UK residents who are too far away from the more conventional ADSL equipped exchanges, yet who will want the benefit of such technology.

The organisation and website will go live in November 2003.
