BTWholesale is to increase its portfolio, with the launch of a data hosting service located at its 5,000+ exchanges accross the country.

Locate, a new division under the BTWholesale brand, will be responsible for the new venture, snappily entitled, "Locate Data Suite Services". Equinox Converged Solutions, Hampshire company are said to be Locates first customer.

Derek Appiah, general manager of Locate at BT Wholesale, said: "The coverage of our 5,000 telephone exchanges is second to none, and our service level guarantees make this product very attractive to customers."

BT's exchanges make ideal data centers with security high on BT's agenda in their built - suitable for both comms and secure IT equipment.
