Ofcom names and shames

Ofcom has named and shamed three ISP's who have not signed up to one of two
approved organisations that act as mediators in disputes.
ISP's have to join either the Communications & Internet Services
Adjudication Scheme (Cisas) or the Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman (Otelo)
to serve as a mediator between the ISP and any customers with a complaint. This
is enforced by the Communications Act 2003 which makes ISP's legally obliged to
accept any decisions of these bodies, failure to do so could see Ofcom fine any
rouge ISP up to 10% of their annual turnover.
The three 'bad boys' are Prodigy Networks, ADSL4LESS and the infamous Geo
Internet. Prodigy claim they have just joined, while ADSL4LESS said they were
registered under the name of Hotchilli, Geo on the other hand made no comment.
