The LLU operator Bulldog have announced that they are now offering extra SDSL
services. Aimed mainly at business users they will be available to 350,000 of
them across the country, but mainly in London and the larger cities.
The new service is aimed at those who have traditionally used a leased line
from BT, and it's no surprise that they have named it
'IP leased line'.
Along with it comes a SLA of 99.9%, with a guarantee to respond within four
hours of a fault being reported, which is very unusual with xDSL connections.
The price reflects the business tag, but it still is a bargain when compared
to the price of a leased line from BT. Prices start at £162.50 per month on top
of a £1,595 connection fee for a 4Mbps line with a 5:1 or 1:1 contention ratio..
Prices for
standard SDSL start at just over £100 per month, plus a £495 connection fee.
| "We plan to increase the geographical coverage of our SDSL services
over the next 12 months and, in doing so, we will continue to provide
business customers with a greater opportunity to embrace the
price-performance and business benefits offered by high-speed SDSL
services," |
