BT offer broadband SLAs

Earlier this month BT have announced details of network Service Level Agreements introduced on the ISPs Business Broadband packages.
Effective on the 'BT Business Broadband Network' and 'BT Business Broadband Network Engineer Install''s 500, 1000 and 2000 products, all customers will be able to claim service credit should one of the following failures occur, lasting 24 hours or more since reporting the fault to BT :
- Internet connectivity - When no IP connectivity exists between the internet and the ethernet interface the end users property
- Email availability - When its not possible to send or receive email via the BT Business Connect mail service
- Web site availability - When an end-users website hosting by BT Business is unavailable
The service credit in monetary terms amounts to the equivilent of one days service rental for the customers package, and continues to accumilate day after day until the problem is fixed. This includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
Please note : this news does not include residental styled products, like BTYahoo Broadband or BT Broadband - only BTs Business customers are included.
