BT have announced that from the 1st June 2004, the annual rental charge for BT DataStream lines will reduce from £86.60 ex VAT (£101.76 inc VAT) to £74.60 ex VAT (£87.66 inc VAT). The reduction equates to £1 (plus VAT) per month (£12 per year).
Whether ISPs using DataStream for as a basis to offer products to consumers, will now reduce their offerings, remains to be seen. Hopefully some news will start to come out within the next day or so.
