In no uncertain terms, Plusnet have smashed yesterdays news of Wanadoo's 1Mbit ADSL price reduction, by reducing the ISPs 1Mb product to that of its 512k product - just £14.99. At the same time, Plusnet will also reduce their 2Mb ADSL to £19.99. Pricing will be available from August 26th on Plusnet's website.
Plusnet's 512k and 1Mb broadband solutions, come with a defacto 1GB of data allowance, with their 2Mb solution coming with 2GB (a common trend these days), additional bandwidth costing from £1.50 if your on the 512k package, from £1.75 on the 1Mb, and from £2 on the 2Mb for those that purchase their bandwidth requirements in advance (there's a slight discount doing it this way).
"If Wanadoo truly meant business this is the kind of pricing they would be putting in place."

Agressive news indeed. So who's next ? Who knows, but it seems certain that we can expect to see a number of ISPs reducing prices within the coming weeks and months.
Press release in the same ol' place.
