Today, after £100,000 investment and 12 months in development NDO launch their NEWT Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus Protection System.
What's NEWT? it stands for "NDO Email Without Trash" (cool huh?) and NDO claim it's 85-90% accurate against spam and virus removal is 100% effective.
The NDO customer has complete control over the strength of the spam filter and can also choose how the system handles spam emails. Suspect emails can be automatically transferred to a special "Spam Folder" within
the Inbox stored on the NDO servers for checking (using the NDO webmail facility) without the need to download them to the customers local machine.
NEWT also includes user defined white-lists and safe email addresses. Customers using SMTP delivery will receive their mail marked as Spam for local sorting.

Spam and Anti-virus scanning which was once a novelty, is now becoming part of
the standard ADSL package for most ISP's
