Tiscali free upgrade hampered by technical problems

The free speed upgrade for Tiscali users which we
announced back in January is rumoured to be falling behind schedule.
The problem apparently is with the 128Kbps 'broadband' users who were
promised a free upgrade to 256Kbps, but due to unspecified "technical
constraints" this appears to to be happening.
"due to technical constraints at your local telephone exchange.
This issue has affected only a small number of our customers and we
sincerely apologise." "To compensate we will reduce the price of your
150k broadband package from £15.99 to £14.99 a month, starting from
1st February 2005. In the meantime, we will keep trying to get your
speed upgrade completed and will let you know if we are successful." |

There has been no word from Tiscali as to when the upgrade will be possible.

I was promised Tiscali upgrade from 3X faster to 5X faster. Result = 8 days offline with their very "remote" call centre unable to help or explain the problem other than saying they would "escalate" the problem and I would be back online in 24 hours....NOTHING! Resorted to pay as u go dial up. They never called me back or seemed to care. After a final call (8 days later) some one said they would perform some procedure on my line and presto! the upgrade was in place. Or was it? Being suspicious I logged on to various web sites to check the speed and discovewred that it was still performing at the old slower speed. So... 8 days off line for an upgrade that was never put in place and paying for the faster connection speed. I just hope they don't mess me about when I ask them to release my line to change to a more reliable ISP. I've had enough!!!!!!

Tiscali is supposed to be an amzing comenay but when a message of aplogy ends in the words ".......if we are successful" it's very worrying and extremely unprofessional.

I went to Tiscali headquaters after joining there network of Business Associates and instead of actually carrying out business meetings, the director wanted to suck my penis. He said that if I let him he would credit my business associate account with a transfer of a thousand customers all bringing in a regular income for me on a monthly basis.
