BT's Rich Media has shaken hands with SportFive, a sports rights management company, to stream some of the 2006 Football WorldCup qualifiers.
Football addicts will be able to either grab either 250Kbps or 500Kbps quality stream for approximately £7, or alternatively download the entire match to keep for around £5. Not all matches will be available though, with only the matches not televised being available to stream/download. The service will be available from qualifiers2006.com and partner sites.
BT Rich Media will also be using the same technology behind the scenes to stream the forthcoming Scottish BT Cup Final at ScottishRugby.org.
