Further to the story last <a href="http://www.uk-bug.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=40 target="_blank"">month listing exchanges that needed capacity upgrades, BTWholesale have released their current review status.
Physical Ports Availability
The report shows that of the 1827 ADSL equiped exchanges, just 3% (48) currently have a potential capacity problem with less than 39 ports remaining for potential subscribers.
BT IPStream S and Office
Around 14% (259) of exchanges currently have 39 or less ports avilable for any "IPStream S and Office" offering, with two exchanges, Liverpool Lark Lane & York, suffering from no ports being available at all for the same product. Liverpool Lark Lane has been given an upgrade date of 11/11/2003, whilst York has a date of 14/11/2003.
BT IPStream 500 and Home
Just 2% (29) of exchanges are reported to have less than 39 ports available. There are no 'Red' classifictions for this type of connection.
It doesn't support the claim reported yesterday that broadband is drying up!!
