Hi,
That figures in "Rip-off Britain". Was checking out some of the forums on dslreports and read the following:-
| Some Guy On DSLReports wrote: | | To me expensive is relative to my priorities and what I consider quality! AOL fits none of these IMHO. I pay $29.95 a month for 4000/512broadband service and my content is what I choose and I can go where I want (the port 25 SMTP issue does not affect me). |
$29.95 = £16.45 for a 512 - No, 1Mb - NOO. 2Mb . . No? NO!
That is less than 20 quid for a 4Mb connection with 512 up as well! ! !
Sorry BT, but WTF do you think you are doing? . . .
Still a long way to go before dsl becomes cheap and affordable as in the US. . .
damit! |

I don't know where he is getting his service from, but I would change in a heart beat. I pay $55 a month for 1.5Mb/dn and 256Kb/up. And thats on a really good night. It usually is on the order of 1.475dn and 235up.

Hi,
Yea, and add to that I know a guy in Germany who gets a 3mb xDSL connection for €24.99 a month. Thats Euros BTW so about £17.
So again, BT is over charging for its services. and We end up with the "****" end of the stick in the UK. Seems to be the regular thing! |
