InterViVo among first to offer VoIP technology to ISPs as Ofcom ruling frees up market
- Flexible packages include White Labelling and Technology Transfer options -

InterViVo Networks, one of the first ISPs to offer VoIP to consumers, is pleased to announce that its VoIP technology is now available to other ISPs.

InterViVo are offering White Label and Technology Transfer VoIP packages to allow ISPs of any size to provide VoIP to their subscribers.

The White Label option means ISPs need just provide customer support and payment collection, to be able to offer a comprehensive VoIP service to its customers. This can be up and running within six weeks, and is an inexpensive option at just a few thousand pounds.

For a more customised offering ISPs also have the option of using the Technology Transfer Service which offers the ISP full control of their own VoIP service, but leverages InterViVo’s experience and innovation. InterViVo will build and train an ISP to offer VoIP, condensing a task that would take most ISPs 12 months and £100,000s of development to achieved within a greatly reduced timescale and budget.

ISPs can also operate a combination of the two packages, choosing to gain VoIP experience with the White Label Service and then continue using the same technology while bringing their service in-house.

InterViVo Networks believes that ISPs are best placed to up-sell VoIP to their Broadband users, and that it will only be a matter of time before VoIP service becomes as ubiquitous with broadband as email services are at present.

CEO of InterViVo, Peter Dawe (PIPEX founder and internet pioneer), said ‘With margins on ADSL squeezed to nothing by competition, VoIP will provide a profit lifeline to many smaller ISPs. Our innovative business model and technology will allow ISPs to enjoy novel features and to design their own services for niche plays. In effect we are providing the shovels in the VoIP Goldrush!’

InterViVo Networks Ltd. was founded in September 2004 by internet pioneers to generate innovative products and services. InterViVo innovations include:-
First consumer VoIP+ADSL service aka Talk and SurF
First real-time billing of telephony service
First parallel ring telephone service
First ISP to offer Multicast ingress and egress
First ISP to have own Internet TV station
First ISP to offer Internet TV channel to subscribers
Ends.
