Eclipse Internet, 17 February 2005: Award-winning innovative broadband provider Eclipse Internet has welcomed BT Wholesale’s recent announcement to support higher bandwidth broadband and install the fastest speed possible on a customer’s line. Eclipse was the first ISP in the UK to give its customers the fastest possible speed that they could experience. It led the market in June 2004 – a full eight months before the recent announcement by BT – when it introduced its FLEX Broadband service.
FLEX Broadband allows Eclipse users to ‘boost’ their connection speed up to 2Mbps at the touch of a button. More recently, Eclipse has introduced its popular Home Broadband service, also giving customers the fastest possible speed – up to 2Mbps for just £14.99 per month. Home Broadband represents incredible value for money and an extremely attractive offer for existing dial-up users.
Commenting on the announcement by BT, Mark Lang, founder of Eclipse Internet and Director of Broadband and ISP Development at Kingston Communications, said: “Eclipse led the market last year and we are very surprised that it has taken others until now to catch up. Eight months is a long time in this industry! Finally, we are all beginning to move in the right direction and look forward to the wealth of new and exciting applications faster broadband speeds will allow.”
Lang concluded, “We are already planning to be one of the first ISPs to offer download speeds of 4Mbps and 8Mbps and even faster later in the year.”
The majority of new customers are recommended to Eclipse by experienced Internet users, establishing Eclipse as the service provider of choice by those ‘in the know’. This reputation has been built on the highest levels of customer service, reliability and speed within the broadband market. |
