Hi,
Fairly basic stuff that. Google should be able to give you the answer..
Right click your network connection - Properties.
Select Internet Protocol - click properties.
Use "Use the following IP address" - put your 192.168.1.2 in there along with you subnet, gateway and your dns settings.
Click Ok a couple of times.
