Following the demise of Gio Internet who bought wholsale from Netsevices PLC I have been unable to have the marker removed to allow me to move to a new provider.
Net Service claim they have cease the market 31 May, BT have not cleared the line (I did move line providers on the 7th June ... mistake ")
Now BT will even talk to me.
New provider is finding it difficult also to get BT to remove that marker...
ANY IDEAS GRATEFULLY ACCPETED |

Why won't BT talk to you? It seems the marker is held on their by Netservices so they have to remove it, have you mentioned it specifically to them?
I've found this...

(This could all be done in 1 day but some isps have a habit of dragging their heels just a little bit.) However they wont drag them too long at this stage because they still have to pay BTw for your monthly connection.
2) The process of the request from your ISP to BT carrying out the work is normally 7 days.
(this cant be speeded up as a bt engineer has to be booked to carry out the work).
3) Then BTw advise your ISP that the line has been disconnected at which point your isp should remove the marker from your account. |

| i was planning on switching from bt to tiscali but after ordering online i cancelled the tiscali and after a few weeks they removed the tag on my line but my internet still doesnt work and all bt tell me is that the line is seized and pass me from pillar to post with no solution! any tips or advice is desperately needed! |
