It's great that I was actually able to get hold of the orginal firmware, the only problem is, the application does not see my router when attempting to begin the update process. This could be because I actually do not have an active ADSL connection. I am simply connecting the router to my NIC via RJ-45.

I have read in various forums about methods of downloading the firmware via a TFTP server, but from what I understand, one needs the image (.bin?) file, in order to do so.

Could anyone help me out with this issue, or point me to a forum where perhaps this topic has already been covered?

Many thanks.

I don't think you need to be connected via an ADSL connection, it's been a long while since I had my 6300 so it's a hazy past!

Does your router have an ISP specific firmware on?
