I'm based in Durness, and on the 31st of Jan, my BT broadband became almost unusably slow (speeds around 1K/bit per sec, or slower). It's stayed that way for 4 days now.

I contacted BT support, who basically gave me the run-around. Eventually they said there was a "no browsing" outage (good quality technical staff you have, BT!) and it would be sorted out soon.

I have access to another, completely separate, ADSL connection in Durness, provided by AOL I believe, and that too has slowed down substantially (now about 3K/bit per sec), also commencing on the 31st of Jan. This rules out any hardware fault at my end, I believe

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and know what is causing it? BT won't give any info at all.
