Businesses losing out claim PlusNet

ISP PlusNet have has reduced it's SDSL connection and rental charges, citing
that smaller businesses hosting their own websites, email and
files on standard broadband connections are losing out.
It says that businesses use up to a 33% of their bandwidth uploading although
standard ADSL business connections provide just 12.5% of
total bandwidth for uploading. Neil Armstrong, Head of Marketing at PlusNet said “Small
and medium businesses increasingly need higher upload speeds to avoid sluggish
email, websites and file transfers to their customers and suppliers.�

Although it's true SDSL provides more upload speeds for business, there are also commercial considerations which have to be weighed up as the cost of SDSL is significantly higher than ADSL.
