BT is offering its Wireless Broadband service for £14.99 a month for
the first 3 months in a bid to woo users of the new Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 can be used in connection with BT Wireless Broadband, letting
users control music, images, and play games using Xbox Live. BT also say
that up to 10 users can access simultaneously from different computers around
the house, although it doesn't mention anything about the reduced bandwidth used
by say a laptop streaming music, and the effect it would have on online game
playing.
Customers signing up to a BT Wireless Broadband package from now until 19
February 2006 also get up to £200 off the price of a laptop of their choice
from selected brands via the BT online retail store.
| "The Xbox 360 is all about wireless connectivity. From launch there
will be wireless controllers and a wireless adapter to enable wireless
networking. Consumers can also connect right into Windows Media Centre
2005 PC for the ultimate in digital home entertainment where they can
watch & record TV, play your music, and view your photos & videos. This is
why BT Wireless Broadband perfectly compliments the system." |
