Broadband Initiatives

Broadband subscriptions are likely to rise above the 500m mark by 2011 according to a new report.

research group claims that there will be 536 million broadband lines accounting more more than half of all internet connections and thinks that WiMax and fibre connections will continue to be the two fastest growing technologies.

Revenues from these broadband services are expected to rise to over £73bn resulting in a nice 13 percent return in investment.

According to David Mercer of Strategy Analytics "Fibre-to-the-home will eventually provide the ultimate broadband experience for many users, including high definition TV and lightning-fast interactive web-based services,"

With such a return in investment, maybe he should speak to BT about Fibre-to-Home.....
