Telewest are hoping to entice it's dial-up customers to switch to ADSL with
an offer saving customers £36 a year, if they join before the end of November.
The cost of the 256Kbps Blueyonder broadband package will reduced to new
customers, costing £14.99 a month for the first year and then returning to the
usual £17.99 a month thereafter. The deal includes free activation and cable
modem.
"It's never been easier to switch to broadband - and now the price
is right for hesitant dial-up users to test the broadband water."
"There are now no reasons not to take broadband - the price is the same
as dial-up but there are none of the frustrations and the advantages are
obvious - faster speeds, an always on connection and you can use the
phone and the internet at the same time ." |

officer, Telewest Broadband |
From the first of November it is also dropping it's charge on
those who just use broadband and not subscribe to any phone or TV service from
Telewest, which will save £2.99 off the monthly bill for those users.
